What is HPA

HPA is High Purity Alumina (Al₂O₃)

HPA’s properties include low friction and wear resistance, hardness, thermal and electrical insulating ability.
HPA applications include:

  • HPA powder form used in Lithium ion battery separators

  • Light emitting diodes (LED)

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) components
  • Semiconductor wafers
  • Sapphire glass for smart phones, TV’s and watch faces
  • Battery technologies and energy storage
  • High strength ceramics

According to eport published by Allied Market Research, titled, “World High Purity Alumina (HPA) Market – Opportunities and Forecasts, 2017-2023”, the high purity alumina (HPA) market would garner a value of $5.293 billion by 2023, registering a CAGR of 17.0% during 2017-2023.

Synthetic Zeolites

  • 1 HPA Ltd is testing Kaolin samples with RPC (www.rpc.ca) under an IRAP Grant for production of synthetic zeolites.
  • Synthetic zeolites have many uses but mostly used as absorbent and catalytic applications because of their unique physical structure
  • As adsorbents, zeolites have found wide use in drying and purifying both gaseous and liquid streams in chemical, petroleum, and natural gas operations. Many bulk separations, such as separating olefins from paraffins, oxygen from air, and para xylene from mixed xylenes, also utilize zeolite adsorbents.
  • The 2018 market for synthetic zeolites was US$5.2 B

Our synthetic zeolite focus will be for CO² absorption
